Bixie Haircut

Trendy
Edgy
The bixie haircut combines the best elements of a bob and a pixie cut. A playful, modern hairstyle, it’s typically cut so the hair falls around the jawline or just above the shoulders. Then layers are added throughout to create movement and texture. If desired, face-framing layers can also be cut into the hair to provide definition and enhance your features. This is a perfect option if you want a chic yet low-maintenance look that offers you a variety of styling options.

Towel dry hair. Apply a light cream or leave-in conditioner that enhances curls and controls frizz. Using your fingers, tousle and lift your curls to keep them defined yet relaxed. Let hair air dry for a soft, natural look, or blow dry with a diffuser on low heat to maintain your curls’ natural shape. Once dry, gently separate curls with your fingers for added volume. Finish with a light oil or serum to add shine and control frizz.
Towel dry hair. Apply a texture spray or mousse to add volume and texture. Using a blow dryer and round brush, slowly lift hair from the roots, following the brush with the hair dryer down the length of the hair, then curling slightly inward at the ends for a polished look. For a more tousled finish, use a flat iron to create gentle bends in random sections of hair. Finish with a light hold hairspray.
Start with damp hair. Apply a curl cream that enhances waves and adds texture. Using your hands, scrunch your hair to bring out your waves’ natural texture and shape. Let air dry, or blow dry with a diffuser on low heat to enhance your waves. Once dry, gently fluff and separate waves with your fingers for added volume. Finish with a light hold hairspray.
